My Work

I leverage over 25 years in education alongside my bilingual and bicultural expertise to help cultural institutions, tourism organisations, educators and NGOs present their work clearly and authentically to English-speaking audiences, combining fast, responsive communication with a collaborative approach.

translation & localisation

global voices

As a regular contributor to Global Voices, I have translated and localised a wide range of articles – over 100,000 words – originally written in French, focusing on political, cultural, and environmental issues across the African continent. This work draws on my background in education, research, and communication, and demonstrates my ability to deliver accurate, culturally sensitive translations for online publication.

Working on these projects has deepened my ability to translate socially engaged content with clarity, care, and cultural sensitivity. My curiosity and love of learning mean I’m always ready to research new topics, explore the context behind the text, and adapt tone and style to suit different audiences. Whether translating children’s rights materials or articles on politics and culture, I bring insight, precision, and a thoughtful approach to every project.

proofreading

Humanium

Although I specialise in French to English translation, my work with Humanium (EN > FR) offered valuable insight into the language and communication needs of international NGOs. I translated content on children’s rights—an experience that deepened my understanding of this sector and continues to inform my work from French into English with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
